Set up your PlanetScale account
The first step in using PlanetScale is to create an account.

In this guide, we’ll begin your journey into PlanetScale by creating an account and exploring the PlanetScale dashboard.
Create an account
Creating a PlanetScale account is straightforward. Navigate to the sign up page and provide an email address and password. Accept the Terms of Service and click "Sign up".
You can also sign up using any existing GitHub account by clicking "Continue with GitHub".
Once you complete the form, you’ll be redirected to a page stating your email address needs to be verified.
The email will contain a link you can click to verify that you own the address. Click the "Confirm email" button.
Once you confirm, you’ll be prompted to log in. You will then be presented with the option to create or import a database.
Now that you have an account set up, the next step to setting up PlanetScale is by creating a database.
