PlanetScale’s Marketing team is responsible for the creation and execution of engaging, results driven branding, marketing, sales and demand generation campaigns including large global conferences, regional sales enablement events, webinars and targeted account marketing. We also handle the website, paid and organic search, social media, blogs, collateral, promotions, public relations, and advertising.

We are looking for a data-driven Account Based Marketing (ABM) Manager to shepherd campaigns in close coordination with our sales team. You will plan, organize, and implement end-to-end ABM campaigns targeted at specific accounts and contacts.

What’s the job to be done?

  • You will develop, lead, and implement ABM programs to drive pipeline across all demand generation channels (emails, direct mails, meeting makers, digital ads, webinars, online events, and more) across global regions.
  • You will align with regional marketing and sales teams to ensure ABM campaigns achieve business priorities, messaging, and goals.
  • You will recommend account targets, messaging, and collateral to increase engagement within target accounts and generate pipeline/opportunities for sales
  • You will analyze, report, and measure the full downstream impact of ABM campaigns in terms of meetings booked and pipeline and revenue generated.
  • You will provide suggestions on how to optimize programs/ tactics/ campaigns.
  • You will partner closely across the Marketing team to ensure a positive prospect experience, a consistent and coordinated voice for PlanetScale, smooth and efficient internal operations, and continuous improvement in business results.
  • You will drive new capabilities that enable Sales to connect and cultivate their prospects in a personalized way
  • You will represent the Marketing organization in wider marketing technology and digital strategy plans, with ownership of driving the adoption of any new technologies that can support our ABM objectives.
  • You will on-board and be responsible for ABM agencies and contractors.
  • You will collaborate with digital agencies to develop best-in-class ABM programs that can be maximised across the PlanetScale organization.

What you will need

  • 5+ years of experience in a related Marketing or campaign management role.
  • Prior experience building successful multi-channel demand generation, ABM, and integrated enterprise campaigns.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ABM, demand generation, cultivating best practices, and campaign creation You display a high competency in ABM, digital marketing trends, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Drive, sophisticated marketing and reporting tools, and data sets.
  • Technically savvy; exposure to modern marketing technology including cookie based advertising, intent data, web personalization, and web traffic analysis platforms (GA, Heap, etc) preferred
  • You have supported either the Software or Technology industries.
  • You exhibit a high attention to detail.
  • You operate with a high level of ownership and autonomy, meaning you can take a project from creation to completion and show the results.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
  • You build strong interpersonal relationships and proactively share ideas and success.
  • You use and interpret data and analytics to quantify and improve marketing results.
  • You present project management skills with an ability to create, enact and adjust plans as needed.
